Renowned for its low maintenance and carefree durability, this short Podocarpus shrub has a dense habit with deep green needle type foliage and a small compact rounded dwarf habit. Its 3 ft. tall & wide size lends itself nicely to a low hedge or foundation planting within a small yard. Works fine in containers, along a fence or lining the patio or driveway, around a lanai, as an understory below palms and trees, fronting taller hedges, or in a planter box, there's a spot in every landscape for this versatile evergreen shrub. Salt tolerant and moderately drought tolerant once established, although the shrub always looks better with regular watering in the form of rainfall or irrigation.
