Variegated Water Celery, Oenanthe javonica Flamingo, is a delightful little bog plant born and raised in America. It has dainty, colorful varigated foliage of pink, green and white. These colors show best in cooler weather. The mature plant blooms a white, lacy flower in Summer. A fast grower that spreads quickly by shooting runners. It is winter hardy and is often used in stream beds, around waterfalls and nestled in rocks along the pond's edges. Can be used as a ground cover outside the pond as well. It is popular in Koi ponds as a great snack. Since it grows so fast, rotating plants between the pond and a damp planter keeps a steady supply available. Also great for biofilters.
