Irene Lantana is a butterfly banquet specially served up for tough, arid climates. Flat clusters of brightly multicolored flowers make the perfect feeding platform that butterflies seek out. The pink, yellow and magenta flower party starts in late spring and endures well into fall. Very heat tolerant, this is a terrific plant to use in those hard-to-crack places where other plants have failed to thrive or survive. Will cover your toasty spots with bright green foliage and butterfly-loving flowers. Use on sun-drenched rocky hillsides, slopes, banks, borders, edgings or to quickly obscure utility boxes, irrigation controls, posts or curbs. Also a flowery gem in containers and hanging baskets or when cascading over retaining walls. Takes to pruning. Drought tolerant too, so water deeply but infrequently. Grows to 3 ft. High and wide. Tolerates poor soils. Provide full sun. Flowers nearly all year, especially in frost-free areas. Hardy to Zone 10°F/32°F.
