The Everbilt Shower kit is a waterproof system which includes all the underlayment backer boards, multipurpose construction adhesive caulking and screws and washers needed to waterproof the walls for tiling around a bathtub or shower base. The Everbilt 1/2 in. thick backer board panels are applied directly to the stud framing eliminating the need for gypsum or cement board. Ten (10) Backer boards are included in the kit that cover 106 sq.ft. The 32 in. x 48 in. x 1/2 in. wall backer board is a thin, lightweight (5 lbs VS 45lbs for cement board), waterproof and vapor-retardant backer board that consists of an extruded polystyrene rigid foam core. The backer boards are easy to cut with a standard utility blade and do not generate the dust conventional backer boards create. Also, there is no need to place/paint liquid waterproofing membrane on the backer boards. They are pre-waterproof and anti-microbial. There are no VOC's in the backer board and can be cut easily at the job site. The Everbilt multipurpose construction adhesive bonds the waterproof backer boards as well as many other materials. The kit includes 10 Everbilt backer board panels, 2 tubes of 11 oz. of the multipurpose Contruction adhesive sealant and 160 screws and washers. Shower pan, curb and drain, and other waterproofing sold separately.

No matter the quality, cost, or extravagance of a tile installation project, the integrity of the tile is only as good as its foundation. The 32 in. x 4 ft. x 1/2 in. wall backer board is a thin, lightweight, waterproof and vapor-retardant backer board that consists of an extruded polystyrene rigid foam core. The rigid foam is reinforced with glass fiber mesh (with alkali-resistant finish) on both sides and coated with a polymer-modified cement. With its special properties, the wall backer board has a wide variety of applications and is the perfect substrate for walls and other wet areas. Using this backer board to build walls over stud framing in wet areas is an efficient alternative to using gypsum board. Pairs well with Everbilt screws and washers.

This Everbilt screws and washers set are made for use with all Everbilt foam, waterproofed backer boards. The screws and washers are ceramic coated and galvanized to prevent rusting. The prongs on the washers fasten quickly to the backer board making for easy and secure installation. The Everbilt foam backer boards can be installed over wood and metal studded walls horizontally or vertically by using this screws and washers set. To install, place screws and washers 12 inches apart vertically and 16 inches apart horizontally. It is best when applying the screws to create a slight depression in the board to reduce any build up at the screw. Vertical seams must be staggered. This pack contains 160 Screws and 160 Washers.
