Honeycrisp Apple is a hardy, small-sized tree that bears crisp, sweet, 3 in. fruit. Although it can be planted in the landscape, its smaller size also makes it suitable for a container garden. It has been a flavor favorite since it was introduced in 1991 by the University of Minnesota. Requiring some extra care to grow, it tends to bear a heavy crop every 2-years, producing as much as a half bushel of crispy, sweet apples. This is a Reachables tree that produces full-sized fruits, but on a smaller tree. That makes it easier to fit into your garden, or even a container. Thanks to state-of-the-art rootstock technology, these trees stay manageable allowing one person to prune, spray, net and harvest the tree, all while standing on the ground. No ladders required! Note: Because their full-sized fruits grow on smaller trees, Reachables require a tree support.
