Hosta's are not grown for their flowers but for their foliage, which are prettier than the flowers. They come in a spectrum of blues, golds, greens, yellows and whites as well as variegated, some speckled and others striped. They thrive in the shade, even though they can withstand some sun, are long-lived and low-maintenance. Many Hosta varieties have seasonal color, or can change color depending on growing conditions. While there are over 3,000 cultivars to choose from, we offer some of the more extra-ordinary. Each is unique in color, texture and form. Hosta Guacamole is a medium sized plant with leaves the color of guacamole. Its' leaves are wide, oval, funnel shaped, chartreuse-gold in color with irregular glossy darker bluish- green margins. They are highly fragrant with white flowers in summer.
